Michèle Métail

Michèle Métail was born in 1950 and studied German and Chinese. She is a researcher, translator, poet and co-founder of the association ,Les arts contigus‘, which deals with the approach and encounter of various forms of artistic expression.
Michèle Métail is writing an infinite poem. As part of her visiting professorship she performed some of the 2888 Danube verse, written on a 20 meter long roll of paper. The poem is the story of a journey along the 2888 kilometers of Danube river and a reflection on language, settled in the space between mother tongue and foreign language, in which Michèle Métail tells the story of the words and thus of people.
