Héctor Abad

Thereby, he refers to the contemporary Colombian society as well as to his own family history. Abad is internationally known for his bestselling novel Angosta, and more recently, El Olvido que Seremos. Most of his work was also published in English. Héctor Abad has received several national and international awards, including the Casa de America Award for Innovative American Narrative for Basura in 2000.
