Andrew Sean Greer

Andrew Sean Greer was born in Washington, D.C. in 1970. He has published stories in journals such as the Paris Review and Esquire.
His second novel, The Confessions of Max Tivoli (2005), was an international bestseller and a great success. John Updike was enthusiastic and compared Greer‘s narrative technique with that of Marcel Proust. His third novel, The story of a Marriage (published in Germany by S. Fischer in 2008) was chosen by the Washington Post as Book of the Year. For his last novel The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells (2013), Madonna has already obtained the exclusive film rights - according to Greer, the pop singer called him personally.
